Job summary

Fervo Energy Company is seeking a Maintenance Planner in Houston, TX to own work order planning and scheduling for the geothermal fleet. This role reports to the Director, Maintenance & Reliability and spends substantial time in the field with Operations and Maintenance to develop robust, reusable plans.

The planner will determine parts, labor hours, and schedules, maintaining a rolling backlog and ensuring schedule feasibility across all sites. Strong CMMS experience is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance planning and scheduling in industrial settings.
• Experience with CMMS for work order planning and backlog reporting.
• Ability to estimate parts, labor, and durations; field engagement with site teams.
• Strong written communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Convert maintenance needs into fully planned work orders with scope, parts, labor estimates, and discipline requirements.
• Process Work Requests from Operations, Maintenance, Commissioning, Engineering, and Reliability.
• Create reusable job plans by equipment type across multiple sites.
• Provide labor and time estimates; iterate plans based on technician feedback.
• Verify plans before release: parts in hand, permits identified, and outage windows confirmed with Operations.
• Maintain a 4–6 week rolling backlog of planned work across all sites.
• Own CMMS data quality and reporting, including backlog and schedule compliance.
