Job summary

Fervo Energy in Houston seeks a Completions Engineer to design and execute geothermal well completions and interventions. You will translate subsurface objectives into safe, repeatable field operations and collaborate with subsurface, drilling, production, and facilities teams.

You will lead planning, cost estimation, regulatory support, and risk management, traveling 25–30% to field sites and applying MOC discipline to optimize performance and cost.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years in unconventional completions, workover, or interventions.
• Experience with multiple completion/intervention technologies.
• Proficiency with stimulation/completion modeling software (ResFrac, Kinetix).
• Travel willingness approx 25–30% to field locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design, planning, and execution of geothermal well completions, stimulations, and workover/intervention operations.
• Develop detailed, step-by-step operational procedures to safely achieve well objectives in compliance with regulatory and internal HSE requirements.
• Provide hands‑on field engineering support during active operations and serve as the primary point of contact for completion and intervention-related issues.
• Support execution across the full well lifecycle, including initial completions, stimulation, recompletions, remedial work, and well interventions.
• Collaborate with subsurface, drilling, production, and facilities teams to translate subsurface objectives into executable field designs.
