Job summary

Fervo Energy in Houston, TX is seeking an entry-level Completions Engineer to join an Operations team that spans Houston headquarters and field operations. You will participate in a comprehensive training program, then rotate to a Utah field location for hands-on experience, before returning to Houston in a supported operations role.

This development role focuses on completion design, stimulation, and workover execution, with mentoring from senior engineers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, or related technical discipline (Required).
0–2 years of completions/well intervention experience encouraged for applicants (New grads welcome).
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Participate in structured training covering completions engineering fundamentals, stimulation design, and well interventions.
Assist in preparing completion and workover programs, procedures, and post‑job reports.
Support field operations in daily completion, stimulation, and workover activities under supervision.
Monitor pressures, rates, and other parameters to ensure safe, efficient execution.
Analyze data to optimize operations and troubleshoot field issues.
Maintain accurate records and support permitting/regulatory documentation.
Collaborate with subsurface, drilling, production, and facilities teams on design and optimization.
