Constellation Energy Corp. invites motivated Chemical Engineering students to a 2027 internship at The Geysers power plant in Middletown, CA. The 10-week program runs June 7 through August 13, 2027, offering hands-on project work under supervision and mentorship.

Interns assist the Chemistry Department with process control, lab tasks, and data entry while collaborating with Chemical Engineers on plant performance and H2S abatement studies. A 4x10 work schedule applies.

Qualifications

• Legally eligible to work in the U.S. now and in the future.
• Pursuing an engineering degree with chemical engineering coursework.
• Willingness to work in team settings and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist Chemistry Dept with process control and monitoring at The Geysers.
• Collaborate with Engineers on Plant Performance, Historical Analysis, and Lab improvements.
• Learn H2S abatement systems, conduct studies, and perform site audits.
• Build spreadsheet material balance for geothermal plant and model H2S abatement.
• Support lab tasks: sampling, chemical analyses, and data entry.
• Perform wet chemistry, atomic absorption, LC, spectrophotometry, and GC analyses.
• Join Calpine personnel on site visits and help troubleshoot abatement systems.
