Job summary

Terracon is seeking an engineer to provide engineering and consulting services across diverse projects in Baton Rouge. You may lead field investigations, perform engineering analyses, prepare plans and specifications, and review reports to ensure quality and compliance.

You will work under supervision of a Professional Engineer, collaborate with senior staff, and develop work scopes. A Bachelor's in engineering and 1–3 years' experience are required; a Master's is preferred and a valid driver's

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• 1–3 years of professional experience required.
• Master’s degree in Engineering preferred.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and participate in pre-task planning; report safety issues.
• Demonstrate quality practices and ensure project delivery meets standards.
• Assist in developing scope of work for routine projects.
• Assist in preparing cost estimates, specs, and related documents.
• Analyze data and perform engineering calculations for PE review.
• Supervise field staff and coordinate investigations and testing.
