Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering (BLE) is seeking a Department Manager for Geotechnical Services in the Charlotte area. This senior leader will oversee technical performance, staff development, project delivery, and client service, partnering with the Branch Manager to grow the practice.

Minimum qualifications include a Civil Engineering degree, PE license, and 8+ years in geotechnical engineering with project leadership. This role offers ownership potential within our employee-owned firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Master's degree with geotechnical emphasis preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Typically 8+ years in geotechnical or geostructural engineering.
• Experience with subsurface exploration, analyses, design, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead BLE's Geotechnical Services Department in Charlotte.
• Oversee staff development, project delivery, and client service.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and profitability for the department.
• Develop and grow relationships with clients in the Charlotte market.
• Provide technical leadership across design and construction phases.
