Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in the United States seeks a Geotechnical Project Manager I to lead geotechnical engineering and CMT projects from proposal to completion on lower-complexity jobs.

You will manage schedules, budgets, reports, and field activities, while mentoring junior staff and supporting client relationships. This role upholds ECS Core Values and contributes to business development.

Qualifications

• Requires 2 years of related geotechnical experience.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in civil/geotechnical fields is required.
• Professional licensure preferred (P.E./P.G.).
• Valid driver's license if driving for ECS subsidiary.
• Strong communication, organization and project management skills.
• Fundamental knowledge of geotechnical principles and ASTM testing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare geotechnical reports with analysis and recommendations.
• Manage geotechnical and CMT projects including scheduling and delivery.
• Review field reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Manage budgets, change orders, invoices, and collections.
• Prepare geotechnical and CMT proposals.
• Own projects from proposal through completion.
• Supervise field activities, drilling and testing operations.
• Prepare drilling packages and obtain utility clearances.
• Conduct geologic research and support technical decisions.
• Classify soils and assign testing requirements.
• Mentor junior staff and field personnel.
• Interface with clients and participate in project discussions.
• Perform other technical and PM tasks as assigned.
