Job summary

NOVA Engineering & Environmental is seeking a Geotechnical Project Engineer (PE) for our Tampa, FL office. The role focuses on managing geotechnical projects, providing technical oversight, and direct client collaboration.

Ideal candidates have hands-on geotechnical investigation experience, report preparation, and familiarity with CMT, Special Inspections, and Threshold Inspections. Leadership and mentoring of staff are integral to the position.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree required.
• PE license required.
• Minimum 5 years geotechnical engineering experience, including inspections and testing.

Responsibilities

• Manage geotechnical projects from proposal through reporting and construction-phase services.
• Plan and oversee subsurface investigations (borings, test pits, field/lab testing).
• Perform and review geotechnical analyses; develop foundation/earthwork recommendations.
