Job summary

Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates (HCEA) seeks a Geotechnical/Engineering Project Engineer II to lead geotechnical and construction materials testing projects throughout the region. You will mentor staff, support field operations, and contribute to business development.

Requirements include a B.S. in Civil Engineering, 5–8 years of geotechnical/consulting experience, and a P.E. license. Proficiency in RocScience/Ensoft/Tablogs is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of progressive geotechnical engineering or consulting experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage geotechnical and CMT projects under a Principal.
• Prepare proposals, cost estimates, reports, specs, and correspondence.
• Interpret lab/field data for engineering recommendations.
• Represent the firm in client meetings and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Support business development and client relationship efforts.
