Job summary

KILO ENGINEERING LLC is seeking a driven Geotechnical Project Engineer to join our Marine on Saint Croix, MN team. This role offers exposure to a variety of projects, opportunities to grow engineering skills, and engagement with project stakeholders.

Responsibilities include field explorations, lab testing, design analyses, and mentoring junior staff, with a focus on clear client communication and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical engineering.
• 3–5 years of geotechnical experience.
• EIT certification required; PE preferred or obtainable within six months.
• Valid U.S.-issued driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Complete safety and skill training for new hires.
• Perform field explorations, lab testing and analyses.
• Supervise project setup, field explorations, and laboratory testing, including client communications.
• Analyze geotechnical data for hazard evaluation and design values.
• Prepare geotechnical reports and communicate findings to clients.
• Mentor staff and collaborate with senior engineers.
• Assist with proposals, scope development, schedules and cost estimation.
