Job summary

CTL|Thompson, Inc. in Montrose, CO is seeking a Geotechnical Project Engineer for full-time employment. The role involves managing and completing complex design projects with a focus on commercial, residential, and municipal structures.

You will plan, analyze and design geotechnical components and use software for engineering analysis and reports. A PE license is required and you will review project recommendations and designs.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil or related engineering field.
• At least 5 years of experience in geotechnical or civil engineering.
• Current Professional Engineer License in the state of employment or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct engineering service and project management with in-house tools.
• Prepare and check structural design calculations, models and plans.
• Design structures utilizing steel, timber and reinforced concrete.
• Use software to aid project analysis and develop plans and reports.
• Log borings for geotechnical studies and conduct field/lab tests.
• Create and update project proposals and technical reports.
• Maintain client relationships and attend project meetings.
