Job summary

ECS Group of Companies, a leader in geotechnical and related engineering services, seeks a Geotechnical Principal to drive technical excellence and strategic direction across regional projects. You will provide final authority on reports and calculations while fostering strong client relationships and business development.

The role requires a PE or PG license, 12+ years of experience, and a proven track record in multi-regional geotechnical leadership and revenue growth.

Qualifications

• 12 years of related experience.
• P.E. or P.G. license required.
• Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology or similar.
• Strong leadership, regional client relationships and revenue growth.
• Ability to mentor senior staff and lead multi-regional teams.
• Proven expertise in geotechnical engineering and project management.

Responsibilities

• Provides final technical authority and oversight across geotechnical projects.
• Performs final review and approval of reports, calculations, and deliverables.
• Oversees quality, accuracy, and consistency of outputs across projects.
• Leads business development and client relationship growth.
• Mentors Associate Principals, Senior Project Managers, and emerging leaders.
• Represents the firm as a technical expert in industry and community.
• Participates in staffing decisions and major project decisions.
• Contributes to regional financial performance and risk management.
