Job summary

ECS Group of Companies seeks a Geotechnical Principal to lead the geotechnical practice with technical authority and strategic direction. You will oversee regional execution, mentor leaders, and drive business development while maintaining client relationships and upholding ECS core values.

The role requires senior-level experience, licensure (P.E./P.G. as applicable), and a strong background in geotechnical engineering and project leadership.

Qualifications

• 12 years of related experience.
• P.E. or P.G. license in each state of work.
• Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil/Geological Engineering or Geology.
• Valid driver's license if driving for ECS subsidiaries.
• Established reputation as a geotechnical expert.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across geotechnical projects.
• Perform final technical reviews of reports, calculations, and deliverables.
• Ensure quality and consistency of output across teams.
• Oversee project performance at a strategic level and manage high-risk issues.
• Mentor associate principals, senior project managers, and emerging leaders.
• Support business development and client relationships.
