Terraphase Engineering Inc. in California seeks an experienced Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. The role combines technical leadership with business development, leveraging established client relationships to grow Terraphase's geotechnical practice on the West Coast.

You will lead complex projects, mentor staff, prepare proposals, and ensure budgets and schedules are met, while collaborating with environmental and civil teams to deliver integrated geotechnical solutions.

Competenze

• B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
• PE license in at least one West Coast state; ability to obtain others as needed.
• 15+ years of progressive geotechnical engineering experience.
• Established client relationships and a track record of generating project pipelines.
• Strong technical expertise in geotechnical investigations, foundation design, slope stability, and related services.
• Experience managing complex projects, multidisciplinary teams, budgets, and client expectations.
• Understanding of the West Coast geotechnical market and regulatory landscape.
• Experience with environmental remediation geotechnical aspects is a plus.
• Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and technical writing skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on building client relationships and mentoring staff.

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients with innovative, practical solutions.
