Terraphase Engineering is seeking a self-motivated, goal-oriented senior professional to join our Oakland or Pleasanton, CA offices to work on a broad range of environmental projects and regulatory negotiations.

This role focuses on project management, business development, client communication, budgeting, and staffing, with an emphasis on staying current with environmental regulations and delivering cost-effective, practical solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in environmental consulting or related field.
• Bachelor of Science in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• State professional licensing preferred.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with peers, clients and regulators.
• Experience with project management, business development, and client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects and budgets, ensuring on-time delivery and cost control.
• Lead and develop business opportunities with new and existing clients; identify opportunities.
• Communicate effectively with clients and staff; supervise regional personnel.
• Identify and recruit key staff for growth and build staff capacity.
• Identify and implement growth strategies for clients.
• Stay updated on local and national regulations and advise on opportunities.
• Prepare project cost proposals and respond to RFPs.
