Job summary

Terraphase Engineering Inc. seeks a Principal Hydrogeologist, Geologist, or Groundwater Geologist to provide strategic and technical support on client projects and to lead business development across water resources and environmental services.

The role emphasizes client engagement, project management, and staff development, with collaboration across consulting scientists and engineers for multidisciplinary projects.

Qualifications

• Hold an advanced degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Licensed Hydrogeologist (LHG) in the state of Washington.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in hydrogeology consulting or a related field.
• Familiarity with Washington State geology, hydrogeology, and environmental regulations and permitting processes.
• Experienced with industry-standard numerical modelling packages and analytical codes.
• Strong reputation for creativity, integrity, responsiveness and technical expertise.
• Experience leading project teams and supervising others.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects with Environmental, Geotechnical, and Hydrogeology Teams and support client objectives.
• Develop analytical, analytic elements, and numerical groundwater models.
• Interpret well testing data, model results, and hydrogeological data; prepare plots/reports.
• Provide technical support for well drilling, water rights, investigations, and model development.
• Plan and manage projects; participate in client/regulatory meetings.
• Lead business development, including client contacts, proposals, and professional society participation.
• Mentor junior staff and ensure technical quality within Terraphase.
