Job summary
ECS Mid-Atlantic, LLC in the United States seeks a Geotechnical Principal to lead the geotechnical practice, ensuring quality, performance, and strategic direction of projects. You will provide final technical authority, oversee regional execution, and drive business development and client relations at the highest level.
The role includes mentoring leaders, reviewing reports, and contributing to regional financial performance while representing ECS in the industry.
Qualifications
- Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or similar.
- A PE or PG license is required in each state of work.
- Active driver's license when driving for ECS
- Established reputation as a geotechnical engineer expert.
- Strong regional client relationships and BD experience.
- Proven leadership and organizational decision-making ability.
- Experience in project and risk management and consulting.
Responsibilities
- Provides technical leadership across geotechnical projects.
- Performs final technical review and approval of reports/calc./deliverables.
- Oversees project performance at high level and guides complex issues.
- Mentors and develops Associate Principals and Senior PMs.
- Leads business development and client relationship growth.
- Reviews proposals, contracts, and major project decisions.
- Participates in staffing and team development.
- Represents ECS as a technical expert in industry/community.
