Job summary

UES in Wichita, Kansas is seeking an experienced Professional Engineer with a dual focus in Geotechnical Engineering and Construction Materials Testing (CMT). You will support our geotechnical and CMT teams by evaluating subsurface conditions, developing foundation recommendations, and providing engineering oversight during construction.

The role blends field, lab, and office work across projects, requiring leadership, client communication, and mentoring of junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Required EIT certification; PE license preferred or in progress.
• Strong knowledge of geotechnical analysis and design methods.
• Ability to lead projects and mentor junior staff.
• Travel up to 25% is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical investigations including field and lab work.
• Perform complex analyses such as bearing capacity and slope stability.
• Develop detailed geotechnical reports, specs, and cost estimates.
• Oversee foundation design, earth retention, and pavement projects.
• Coordinate with clients and manage project delivery.
