Job summary

UES, Inc. is seeking a Professional Engineer (PE) with a strong background in Geotechnical Engineering and Construction Materials Testing (CMT) to support our growing civil engineering teams in Wichita, Kansas.

You will oversee subsurface investigations, evaluate data, and guide foundation recommendations while coordinating with field and laboratory staff, ensuring technical excellence, safety, and quality across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• 5–8 years geotechnical engineering experience.
• EIT certification required; PE license preferred or in progress.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor teams with strong communication.
• Experience with geotechnical analysis and site investigations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee geotechnical subsurface investigations.
• Develop engineering recommendations for foundations and site development.
• Perform geotechnical analyses and review reports.
• Provide technical guidance to field personnel and lab staff.
• Manage projects across Geotechnical and CMT departments.
• Maintain client relationships and assist with proposals.
