Job summary

We are seeking a Drill Operator to join Wagman’s Geotechnical Group in Virginia. The ideal candidate will operate drill rigs, assist with tiebacks and micropiles, and support the ground crew.

Willingness to travel regionally is required, with per diem when on travel. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and experience with earth retention systems; manufacturing or construction experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED preferred, with basic reading and writing skills
• Experience with temporary shoring, earth retention systems, foundations and ground stabilization
• Ability to operate small diameter drill rigs and assist ground crew efficiently

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain drill rigs; install tie backs, micropiles, and soil mats
• Experience preparing grout for tiebacks and micropiles is a plus
• Perform minor repairs and service to equipment
• Supervise drill rig helpers in tooling or grout mixing
• Adhere to Wagman safety policies and promote a safe culture
