Job summary

Terracon in Lexington, KY is seeking a Construction Materials Laboratory Supervisor to coordinate and manage testing of soils, aggregates, concrete and asphalt.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience performing laboratory tests on construction and geotechnical materials.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.
• Certification by national, regional or state authorities (ACI, NICET, DOT) or in-house certification in concrete, aggregates, soil and rock, or road and paving materials.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate or manage activities of a Construction and Geotechnical materials laboratory, ensuring safety and adherence to quality protocols.
• Oversee training and utilization of laboratory staff, and the maintenance and cleanliness of the lab and testing equipment.
• Assist with proposals and cost estimates to scope services, ensure manpower availability and proper pricing to render a profit.
• Supervise laboratory activities to ensure work is on time and in accordance with client and project requirements.
