Job summary

Terracon is seeking a field and laboratory technician to perform testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel on project sites in Kentucky.

You will work under supervision, document findings, prepare reports, maintain equipment, and follow safety protocols, with certification requirements and potential for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 6 months experience required
• A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required
• Obtain ACI certification within 90 days of hire
• Obtain Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months of hire
• Successful completion of related internal safety certifications

Responsibilities

• Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials (e.g. soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel).
• Prepare and submit data and observations in written and digital reports for daily transmission to the Terracon Project Manager.
• Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles and work areas; assist with scheduling and dispatch of Technicians to project sites.
• Follow strict safety standards and participate in pre-task planning.
