Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year of comparable experience.
• Valid state driver's license and auto insurability.
• Must be able to pass OSHA 40-hour training within three months.

Responsibilities

• Log soil and rock in the field per established procedures.
• Prepare accurate, detailed boring logs with classifications and data.
• Lead the drilling crew in field activities.
• Assist with site reconnaissance and observations.
• Layout and staking of borings; maintain logs in computer.
• Coordinate with utility providers for clearance; transport supplies.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geoscience, or related field

G.I.T. certification (preferred)
