Job summary

TTL, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Field Logger in San Antonio, TX. This full-time role supports geotechnical projects across private and public sectors, with emphasis on field operations, safety, and client communication.

Responsibilities include collecting soil samples, preparing logs, conducting tests, locating boring sites, and coordinating utilities. The candidate must travel, lift 50 lbs, and work in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
• HS Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Must be able to work in all types of weather and field conditions.
• Must be able to work outside typical daily 8 am to 5 pm hours.
• Must be able to travel for extended periods of time.
• Must have basic computer skills for time and expense entry.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with fellow employees and drillers.
• Must be able to read plans and maps.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to travel between Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana.
• Schedule is 12 days on 4 days off cycle

Responsibilities

• Collecting soil samples
• Preparing field boring logs
• Conduct field testing on collected soil samples and record pertinent drilling information
• Locate and stake boring locations
• Notify utility locators of proposed drilling locations
• Conduct field electrical earth resistivity testing
• Ensure general safety of drilling crew
• Participate in safety meetings
