Job summary

Raba Kistner, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer - Geotechnical to join our team in Dallas or Grand Prairie, TX.

The Project Engineer will manage small to moderately complex geotechnical projects and support the firm’s growth in the geotechnical engineering business with strong communication and interpersonal skills. The role requires a PE license in Texas or the ability to obtain one within six months, a minimum of four years of relevant experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited school is required; a master’s with Geotechnical emphasis is preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience managing medium-size engineering projects.
• Professional Engineer license in Texas is required; if licensed elsewhere, Texas licensure within six months.
• Valid state driver’s license and auto insurability are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead small-to-medium geotechnical engineering projects and serve as engineer of record on simple projects.
• Manage project scope, fee development, field exploration, lab testing programs, and deliverables.
• Direct junior staff, assign tasks, monitor progress, and mentor engineers.
• Prepare proposals, review literature, and coordinate with vendors and subconsultants.
• Oversee field operations, logs, laboratory testing, and data analysis.
• Prepare reports, manage invoicing, and communicate with clients on status.
