Job summary

Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) seeks a Laboratory Technician in Alliance, OH to conduct soil, asphalt, concrete, and aggregate testing following published standards and lab policies.

You’ll also maintain records, report results, and assist with calibrations and equipment maintenance in a busy laboratory setting. Responsibilities include data entry, test reporting, and applying ASTM and AASHTO methods.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
• Ability to learn ASTM, AASHTO, and other laboratory test procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform data entry, record keeping, test reporting, and other duties.
• Learn and apply ASTM, AASHTO, and other laboratory test procedures.
• Perform soil, asphalt, concrete, and aggregate tests per standard methods.
• Prepare and test concrete cylinders, cores, masonry units for strength.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory and field equipment.
• Compute test data under supervision and assist with data corrections.
