Job summary

Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is seeking a Laboratory Technician in Alliance, OH to support the Construction Observation & Testing Division. You will perform data entry, test reporting, and lab work for soil, asphalt, and concrete materials, while applying ASTM and AASHTO procedures.

Responsibilities include testing in the lab, preparing concrete cylinders and prisms, maintaining equipment, and assisting with data corrections under supervision. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to perform data entry, record keeping and test reporting.
• Learn and apply ASTM, AASHTO and other lab test procedures.
• Proficiency with soil, asphalt and concrete test processing.

Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is currently seeking a Laboratory Technician for our Construction Observation & Testing Division in Alliance, OH.

Responsibilities Include

• Perform data entry, record keeping, test reporting, and other duties
• Ability to learn and apply ASTM, AASHTO, and other laboratory test procedures
• Perform testing in the laboratory on construction materials to include Standard and Modified Proctors, sieve analyses, plasticity index tests, soil classification, and other soil, asphalt, and concrete test processing
• Work in the concrete room prepping and performing tests on concrete cylinders, cores, masonry block, and prisms for compressive strength testing
• Break cylinders, prisms, beams, and cubes of concrete and masonry
• Perform maintenance and calibrations on laboratory and field equipment
• Perform some calculations of test data under supervision of Laboratory Supervisor
• Assist with data back-checking and corrections

Pay Rate: $18-$19/hr, based on experience.

• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
