Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is seeking a full-time Senior Geotechnical Field Technician for our Alliance, OH office. Qualified candidates must have prior construction inspection experience and relevant industry certifications.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position. The role includes observing and documenting construction activities, testing soils with a nuclear gauge, and performing concrete and asphalt testing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with good writing and math skills.
• Must have reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license.
• Physical ability to carry equipment over 50 lbs on uneven ground.
• One or more current certifications: NICET, ACI, APNGA, NETTCP, ICC, FPO.

Responsabilités

• Observe and document construction activities to assure compliance with technical specifications.
• Monitor and test the moisture and density of soils using a nuclear density testing gauge.
• Test concrete for slump, air content and unit weight.
• Test asphalt for temperature and compaction.
• Assist laboratory and drilling personnel as requested.
• Use civil drawings, project specifications and geotechnical reports effectively.
• Complete daily reports, testing documents, timesheets and expense reports completely and in a timely manner.
• Handle and maintain company assigned equipment.

Roadway Construction Experience (desired)

NICET certification

ACI certification
