Whitestone Associates, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Intern for a summer internship in Rochester, NY. This paid program runs May through August with flexible hours based on project needs.

You will support geotechnical site research, field testing and inspection during construction, soil laboratory testing and coordination, and assist with soils boring and test pit investigations in our on-site lab. Pursuing a Civil or Geotechnical Engineering degree and ideally having taken a soils lab course

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Ideally candidates will have taken and passed a Soils Laboratory class.

Responsibilities

• Geotechnical site research.
• Field construction phase testing and inspection.
• Soil laboratory testing and coordination.
• Assisting with materials testing in the on-site laboratory.
• Assisting with soil boring and/or test pit investigations.
