Job summary

Whitestone Associates, Inc. is offering a summer geotechnical and environmental internship running May/June through August, with flexible hours based on project needs.

You will assist with soil laboratory testing, materials testing in our on-site lab, and geotechnical site research. Qualifications include pursuing a degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, with ideal completion of a soils laboratory class.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Ideally candidates will have taken and passed a Soils Laboratory class.

Responsibilities

• Soil laboratory testing and coordination.
• Assisting with materials testing in our on-site laboratory.
• Geotechnical site research.
• Some field construction phase testing and inspection.
• Assisting with soil boring and/or test pit investigations.
• Assisting with Phase I Environmental Site Assessments.
• Phase II Site Investigation/Remedial Investigations; and
• Assisting with due diligence reports and regulatory agency submittals.
