Job summary

Whitestone Associates, Inc. is offering a summer internship for a geotechnical-focused student. The program runs from May/June through August with flexible hours based on project needs.

Responsibilities include soil laboratory testing, on-site material testing, site research, field testing, soil borings, Phase I/II environmental site investigations, and assisting with due diligence reports and regulatory submittals.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Ideally candidates will have taken and passed a Soils Laboratory class.

Responsibilities

• Soil laboratory testing and coordination.
• Assisting with materials testing in our on-site laboratory.
• Geotechnical site research.
• Some field construction phase testing and inspection.
• Assisting with soil boring and/or test pit investigations.
• Assisting with Phase I Environmental Site Assessments.
• Phase II Site Investigation/Remedial Investigations.
• Assisting with due diligence reports and regulatory agency submittals.

Education

Civil or Geotechnical Engineering degree

Soils Laboratory class (preferred)
