Job summary

The Lane Construction Corporation is seeking a Geotechnical / Instrumentation Engineer to support planning, installation, monitoring, interpretation, and reporting for the Ohio River Tunnel Project in the Moon Run, PA area. The role focuses on protecting utilities, structures, and adjacent facilities affected by tunneling and excavation activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
Professional Engineer license in Pennsylvania strongly preferred.
Minimum 5 years of geotechnical instrumentation experience in heavy civil, underground, tunnel, or similar projects.
Experience with installation, monitoring, interpretation, and reporting of geotechnical instruments.
Working knowledge of GIMS or similar web-based instrumentation platforms.

Responsibilities

Support, coordinate, and lead the project geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring program per contract requirements.
Prepare, review, and coordinate the Monitoring and Instrumentation Plan with instrument inventory, locations, and reporting.
Coordinate installation and monitoring of geotechnical and structural instrumentation.
Review monitoring data, identify trends, and issue technical recommendations.
Support operation of the Geotechnical Instrumentation Monitoring System, including data uploads and reporting.
Prepare daily, weekly, and special monitoring reports with observations and interpretations.
