The Lane Construction Corporation in Pittsburgh, PA seeks a Geotechnical / Instrumentation Engineer to support planning, installation, monitoring, interpretation, reporting, and coordination of geotechnical instrumentation for major tunneling projects. You will focus on protecting utilities, buildings, and adjacent facilities affected by construction.

The role emphasizes monitoring system management, data interpretation, and collaboration with surveyors, field engineers, and tunnel teams.

Qualificações

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geological, Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline.
Professional Engineer license in Pennsylvania is strongly preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy civil, underground, tunnel, shaft, deep excavation geotechnical instrumentation work.
Direct experience with installation, monitoring, interpretation, and reporting of geotechnical instruments.

Responsabilidades

Support or lead the geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring program per Contract Section 31 09 13.
Prepare, review, and coordinate Monitoring and Instrumentation Plan including locations, installation schedule, and reporting.
Coordinate installation and monitoring of instruments such as settlement points, prisms, inclinometers, piezometers, tilt meters, and related devices.
Coordinate with surveyors, instrumentation subcontractors, field engineers, and tunnel/shaft teams.
Review data, identify trends, and issue timely technical recommendations.
Support web-based Geotechnical Instrumentation Monitoring System data uploads, plots, and reports.
