Job summary

Delve Underground invites applications for a Civil/Geotechnical Ground Improvement Engineer to join our heavy civil team in the United States. The role focuses on ground improvement, excavation support, and constructability for major tunnel and infrastructure projects.

You will translate design into practical field execution and work with cross-disciplinary teams on cost, schedule, and risk. Ideal candidates have 5+ years field experience, a Civil Engineering degree, and a PE license is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• PE license preferred or ability to obtain licensure.
• Minimum 5 years’ direct field experience on heavy civil tunnel projects.
• Experience with ground improvement and shoring.
• Experience with cost estimating and project management.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for ground improvement and excavation systems.
• Evaluate selection of ground improvement systems based on site conditions and risk.
• Review plans, specifications, and proposed construction methods.
• Develop project specs for ground improvement and grout.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to resolve issues.
• Assist with cost estimates and scheduling.
• Support field observations and constructability input.
• Communicate technical issues to project managers and clients.
• Mentor smaller projects within scope.
