Delve Underground is seeking a Staff Geotechnical Engineer to join our Walnut Creek, San Francisco, Sacramento, Los Angeles, Irvine, or San Diego team. This role focuses on supporting tunnels, underground facilities, and water infrastructure projects across the country with geotechnical engineering, excavation support, and soil/rock mechanics expertise.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Geotechnical/Civil or Geological Engineering, an EIT is preferred, and strong written and verbal

Formación

• BS in Geotechnical/Civil or Geological Engineering. MS preferred.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred.
• Microsoft Office and Bluebeam experience.
• Coursework or experience in geotechnical engineering, soil and rock mechanics, tunneling, subsurface investigation methods.
• Familiarity with geotechnical analysis software for slope and excavation stability, seepage analysis, seismic site response.

Responsabilidades

• Support geotechnical investigation programs including planning, permitting, field data collection, and reporting.
• Perform analyses and design calculations for tunnels, foundations, and excavation support.
• Conduct geologic and seismic hazard evaluations.
• Work under the direction of senior engineers with technical oversight.
• Prepare technical reports and documents explaining analyses or recommendations.
• Assist with preparation of construction drawings and specifications for underground infrastructure.
• Collaborate with team on complex, multi-discipline projects.
• Demonstrate strong writing and communication skills; interact with staff and clients.
