Job summary

GTA is seeking a Geotechnical Field Technician for our Richmond, Virginia office. You will participate in construction observation and testing of soils, concrete, and other materials, with training provided for new graduates.

Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors, own a vehicle, and have a good driving record. We offer abundant training, certifications, and opportunities for career advancement within a fast-growing company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• B.S. in Civil Engineering or Geology preferred but not required.
• Certificates such as NICET, ACI, WACEL, VA DOT are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Observe construction and test soil, concrete, and other materials.
• Assist field team in data collection and reporting.
• Possibly travel to multiple job sites; outdoor work.
