Job summary

System One in the Denver area is seeking a Geotechnical Engineering Field Technician to perform field testing and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, and other construction materials on active projects.

You’ll conduct testing per ASTM/AASHTO specs, collect samples, record results, and report findings to project teams. The role requires outdoor work, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or with a crew; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in geotechnical, construction materials testing, or field inspection.
• Ability to document results accurately.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, and other construction materials.
• Conduct testing in accordance with ASTM, AASHTO, and project specifications.
• Perform soil density testing and concrete testing.
• Collect and document field samples.
• Record accurate test results and prepare field reports.
• Communicate with contractors, project managers, and engineering staff.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Maintain testing equipment and company vehicle.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
