Job summary

Alta Environmental & Infrastructure is seeking a Construction Materials Field Technician to perform on-site testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and related materials. You will work on diverse projects, applying geotechnical knowledge with careful data recording and compliance with specs.

The role requires field testing certifications where possible, strong attention to detail, and the ability to travel to sites across Arizona.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Occupational Health and Safety, or a high school diploma with related training.
• Field testing and geotechnical knowledge required.
• All field certifications listed (Nuclear Safety, ACI, ATTI) are preferred but not mandatory.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field testing and inspections of construction materials per standards and specs.
• Perform soil compaction, concrete slump, cylinder testing, and asphalt density tests with specialized equipment.
• Document results accurately ensuring data integrity and compliance.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment and adhere to OSHA safety protocols.
