Job summary

ECS Southwest, LLP seeks a Geotechnical Field Technician to support field exploration, sampling, and testing on active construction projects in Fort Worth, TX. You will perform borings, soil classifications, and standard field tests under supervision, documenting results for reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• BS in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited university preferred.
• 0–2 years of field experience preferred.
• This position requires carrying 40–70 lbs several times a day or occasionally lifting up to 85 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Layout of borings and test pits using conventional surveying and GPS.
• Classify samples; reduce GPS and geotechnical data for reports.
• May perform department administrative duties.
