Ideal candidates should possess a high school diploma/GED, valid driver's license, and prior experience, along with physical capability for demanding fieldwork.

The position offers competitive pay between $18-26 per hour based on experience, mileage reimbursement, and comprehensive benefits including health coverage and retirement plans.

Qualifications

Reliable vehicle, good driving record and valid driver's license required.
Physical capability to carry equipment/samples over 50 lbs on uneven ground.
Certification such as NICET, ACI, or ICC preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and test moisture and density of soils.
Document construction activities to assure compliance with specifications.
Prepare daily field reports and test summaries.

Skills

Ability to monitor and test moisture and density of soils

Good writing and math skills

Roadway construction experience

Education
