Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) in Quakertown, PA is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector to provide geotechnical and environmental field observation and testing services for private and public projects.

You will monitor moisture and density of soils with a nuclear gauge, test concrete and asphalt, and document construction activities to ensure compliance with specifications. The role is primarily outdoors, with travel to project sites and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with good writing and math skills.
• Physical ability to carry equipment >50 lbs on uneven ground.
• Roadway construction experience is desired but not required.
• Possess one or more current certifications (NICET, ACI, APNGA, NETTCP, ICC, FPO) is desirable but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and test moisture and density of soils using a nuclear density gauge.
• Test concrete, asphalt and other materials as required.
• Observe and document construction activities to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Prepare daily field reports and test summaries documenting work performed.
