Job Overview

Geo-Technology Associates (GTA) office in Beaver Falls, PA is seeking experienced candidates for a Construction Inspector position. In this role you will provide observation and testing services for geotechnical and environmental development projects for a diverse client base in the private and public sectors.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and test moisture and density of soils using a nuclear density testing gauge; test concrete, asphalt and other materials.
• Observe and document construction activities to assure compliance with technical specifications.
• Prepare daily field reports and test summaries documenting the work performed.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Reliable vehicle, good driving record and valid driver's license.
• Physical capability to carry equipment/samples >50 lbs on uneven ground.
• High school diploma/GED with good writing and math skills.
• Roadway construction experience (desired but not required).
• Required: possess one or more of the following current certifications:
  • NICET
  • ACI
  • APNGA
  • NETTCP
  • ICC
  • FPO
• Prior experience is required.

Work Conditions

Technicians require the ability and willingness to work almost entirely outdoors, perform extensive fieldwork and travel significant distances to project sites. Overtime may be required, depending on the project. The employee must have the ability to use their hands to handle, finger or feel; reach, climb or balance; crouch, stoop, crawl, kneel and sit, see and smell; including close, distance and peripheral vision, depth vision and ability to focus. The employee will regularly lift and/or move 60 pounds; and occasionally move 80 pounds or more (such as a loaded wheelbarrow of concrete or soil samples).

Pay & Benefits

Pay Rate: $18-26 based on experience.
