Job summary

Kleinfelder's Oklahoma City, OK office is seeking an Entry Level Geotechnical Engineer to join the team and perform routine to complex geotechnical sampling, inspection, and testing in the field, in accordance with plans and specifications.

The field engineer will prepare daily reports, data sheets, and may assist with proposal writing and technical reports. Strong communication skills are needed to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Geology required.
• EIT or GIT or ability to obtain within 6 months required.
• 0 to 3 years' geotechnical field experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform soil and groundwater sampling, logging and testing to verify conformance to plans and specs.
• Submit daily field reports and data reports summarizing activities.
• Geotechnical laboratory testing experience is a plus.
• Conduct engineering calculations under supervision of a professional engineer.
• Maintain objectives and goals set by the project manager.
• Must be willing to travel.
