Job summary

Kleinfelder's Oklahoma City office is seeking an Entry Level Geotechnical Engineer to support field sampling, testing, and reporting for geotechnical projects. The role involves soil/groundwater sampling, data collection, and assisting in lab testing under supervision.

The ideal candidate has a 0–3 year geotechnical background, a Civil Engineering or Geology degree, and is willing to travel. EIT/GIT or obtain within 6 months is preferred. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or geology is required.
• EIT or GIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 0–3 years of geotechnical field experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform soil and groundwater sampling, logging, observations and testing to verify conformance with plans and specs.
• Submit daily field and data reports summarizing activities.
• Geotechnical laboratory testing experience is a plus.
• Conduct engineering calculations under supervision of a professional engineer.
• Maintain objectives and goals set by the project manager.
• Must be willing to travel.

Step into Your New Role Kleinfelder's Oklahoma City, OK office is currently seeking an Entry Level Geotechnical Engineer to join the team!

We're looking for a person with strong initiative, who will perform routine to complex geotechnical sampling, inspection and testing in the field, in accordance with the plans and specifications. The field engineer will prepare daily reports and data sheets and may be called upon to perform various tasks at the discretion of the supervisor. Duties will include geotechnical sampling and testing, laboratory testing, nuclear moisture density testing, and assisting in proposal writing and technical reports .Working well in a fast-paced, team-orientated environment is a must. Strong communication skills are necessary to succeed in this role.

Role and ResponsibilitiesThe specific responsibilities include:

• Perform soil and groundwater sampling, soil samples, logging , observations and testing on materials testing projects to verify conformance to the construction plans and specifications.
• Submitting daily field reports and data reports summarizing daily activities.
• Geotechnical laboratory testing experience is a plus.
• Conduct engineering calculations under the supervision of a professional engineer.
• Maintaining objectives, initiatives, and overall goals set forth by the project manager.
• Must be willing to travel.

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Geology
• EIT or GIT or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 0 to 3 years' experience in the provision of geotechnical-related engineering field
