Job summary

NOVA Engineering & Environmental is seeking an Entry-level Geotechnical Field Engineer (EIT) to support a range of geotechnical projects from our Kennesaw, GA office. You will assist with field investigations, analyses, and report writing as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The role is predominantly field-based (about 90%), with some office work. A BS in civil/geological engineering and EIT or eligibility within 3 months are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or related field.
• 0-3 years of relevant experience; entry-level accepted.
• E.I.T. required or able to obtain within 3 months.
• Position entails approximately 90% fieldwork and 10% office work.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background and MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain geotechnical testing equipment.
• Classify soil, rock, and rock samples from drilling operations.
• Assist in developing scope and budget for routine projects.
• Analyze data, perform engineering calculations, and report to clients under PE supervision.
• Interact with clients and project team.
• Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards on all projects.
