Job summary

GeoEngineers in San Diego, CA seeks a Staff Geotechnical Engineer to lead field exploration, observe earthwork and foundation construction, and develop a broad understanding of soil and site conditions.

You will perform geotechnical analyses, prepare reports, and collaborate with teams across locations. A strong background in slope stability, bearing capacity, settlement and deep foundation design is desired.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• EIT certification required for Staff Engineers.
• Internship or experience in geotechnical engineering preferred.
• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work within a team.
• Valid driver’s license; US driving experience required.

Responsibilities

• Field exploration and observation of earthwork and foundation construction.
• Prepare field reports and perform geotechnical analyses such as slope stability and bearing capacity.
• Assists with gathering field data and coordinating samples for testing.
• May provide support to geotechnical teams at other locations as needed.
