Job summary

GeoEngineers is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Construction Design Discipline in San Diego, California. The role spans geotechnical and structural engineering with ownership of project tasks from design through field execution.

You will work with contractors, developers, and design-build partners, developing technical depth under mentorship and progressively taking on more project management responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or higher is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• PE license is required.
• Travel up to 20% may be needed.
• Experience with geotechnical/structural design tools and projects.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to geostructural design of excavation support systems and deep foundations.
• Perform structural and geotechnical analyses (steel, timber, deep foundations).
• Develop drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit.
• Coordinate with project teams and clients on design issues.
• Lead budgeting, field report reviews, and project implementation planning.
• Support business development and client meetings.
