Job description

Environmental & Geotechnical Drill Operator

  • Starting Wage: Based on experience, State Driller’s License status, and possession of a CDL A
  • Vacation: One week of paid vacation after six months; two weeks after one year

Travel

  • Travel approximately 50% of the time within Indiana and neighboring states for projects that operate Monday through Friday, allowing weekends at home

Responsibilities

  • Operate drill rigs and related equipment with high proficiency
  • Maintain daily drilling reports
  • Lead, train, and mentor drilling crew members
  • Adhere to safety protocols, maintain certifications, and promote a safe work environment
  • Utilize Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) as required
  • Complete necessary documentation, including well logs, logbooks, repair orders, tailgate safety meetings, and Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment safety and reliability
  • Foster positive and professional relationships with team members and clients
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of industry experience, with a minimum of 1 year operating a rig (e.g., direct push, auger, etc.)
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report
  • CDL Class A preferred
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is a plus; ability to pass a HAZWOPER physical is required
  • Negative drug test results
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Satisfactory results from a background check (case-by-case review of offenses)

Additional Information

Employment is contingent upon passing a pre-employment criminal background check, passing a drug test, and maintaining a clean driving record in accordance with DOT requirements.
