Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services seeks a Geotechnical Engineering Intern/Co-op in Boston, MA. You will assist with field investigations, data collection, and report preparation under supervision, gaining exposure to site feasibility studies and design plans.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year or advanced Civil/Geotechnical Engineering degree.
• GPA of 3.0+ preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist field investigations planning and execution (borings, test pits).
• Observe foundation and earthwork construction; ensure conformance with plans and specs.
• Identify and implement solutions to field/lab problems.
• Prepare logs, field forms, logs and chain of custody.</tl>
• Conduct file reviews, site reconnaissance, and document searches.
• Learn geotechnical software and perform basic analyses.
• Prepare report exhibits, figures, and AutoCAD drawings.
• Document field investigations and analytical results in reports.
• Perform other duties as requested.
