Job summary

RRC Power and Energy seeks a Geotechnical Staff Engineer for our Round Rock, Texas office. You will perform fieldwork, subsurface investigations, geophysical surveys, and geotechnical calculations under supervision.

The role requires travel across the United States up to 75% during the first two years. A Civil Engineering degree and EIT/FE credential are preferred, with proficiency in MS Office and related geotechnical tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering.
• EIT Certification or FE Exam passed.
• Willing to travel up to 75% to project sites across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform fieldwork for geotechnical subsurface investigations and geophysical surveys.
• Observation and documentation of geotechnical construction activities and perform construction material testing/inspection.
• Under supervision, perform geotechnical engineering tasks including review of samples and calculations.
